A very warm welcome to chillihols at Chillington

Our splendid Georgian former farmhouse is home to two luxury (upper end 4* Visit Britain rated, 2006) self-catering cottages ideally positioned to provide you with access to the best that south Devon can offer, be it beaches, sailing, arts and crafts or other.

If you like highest quality, spacious, character and very clean surroundings for your holiday base, also easy access to the main tourist hotspots without having to be amongst them full time, combined with generous off road parking and the security of the owners being in the background to help your holiday go smoothly, then chillihols is the place for you. 

Chillington is situated just beyond the beautiful Kingsbridge Estuary, or ria (river), which encompasses Salcombe, Kingsbridge and East Portlemouth. In addition, it is under two miles from the beach at Start Bay (Torcross); Beesands and East Portlemouth (with its National Trust beach) are also very accessible.

Chillington provides for all your main needs. It offers an excellent village pub (opposite us!) that serves food, a village store and post office, angling store, and traditional butcher. There is also a health centre and church. We are on the Dartmouth to Plymouth bus route, with connections to Salcombe, Totnes and beyond.

We particularly welcome couples and small families to our two bedroom Well Cottage.  The Pound House, our superb converted cider press four bedroom cottage, is a large family home, and includes a single bedroom suitable for a grandparent. Out of peak season we offer reduced rates for smaller groups visiting The Pound House.

In total, our cottages sleep from 1-11 persons (plus cot in The Pound House).  We are open all year.
